To connect with us, visit www.gannett.com Design and develop machine learning models and decision science solutions that enable our cross-functional partners across Product, Content and Marketing teams to predict performance, better understand audiences and then engage them with meaningful and delightful content experiences. Lead our core data science hub for the most central part of our business – Audience. Develop and/or improve predictive models to identify lookalike and high-propensity audiences to be targeted for acquisition, retention, and engagement. Build behavior segments and personas by analyzing user preferences and affinities across the customer journey. Analyze behavioral trends to uncover opportunities to improve overall personalization, as well as content, and product performance. Understand the data deeply and effectively translate model outcomes and insights into actions and recommendations that lead to decisions and measurable ROI. Supervises 5-9 subordinates – Sr Data Scientists, Data Scientists, Data Science Project Associates, Data Analysts Worksite location: 1675 Broadway, New York, NY 10019, remote work permitted Minimum Education & Experience Requirements: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Analytics, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 2 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any data sci/analyst related job titles. Applicants must possess 2 years of experience in the following: (1) Machine Learning Propensity Modeling including building first-party audience intelligence models and solutions/products; (2) Self-service applications development and deployment including building audience models and packaging them into self-service tools; (3) Implementing data technology stacks using Google Cloud platform offerings including Compute Engine or Vertex AI; (4) Building & deploying machine learning model pipelines including in Google BigQuery and AI Models using Compute Engine or Vertex AI; (5) Building and utilizing Generative AI RAG techniques for models, including customer purchase intent models; (6) Google Ad Manager for working in the technology stack to facilitate ad transactions; and (7) using Google Ad Manager for modeling outputs from audience models flow. Telecommuting Available. The annualized base salary for this role will range between $192,599 and $247,000. Base compensation is reflective of many factors, including, but not limited to, the market in which one lives/works, individual education level, skills, certifications and experience. Note: variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable.
