Engages key executive customers within business support functions on their data-driven decision-making needs. Ensures business analyst work is prioritized to meet business support function needs. Directs the execution of strategically selected big data projects. Designs, establishes, and maintains an organizational structure and staffing to accomplish the organization's goals and objectives; recruits, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff. Develops and maintains annual budgets for the organization and performs periodic cost and productivity analyses. Directs the staffing and quality of work product for business analysts. Determines needs and deploys self-service analytics tools for use by leaders. Oversees statistical resources in support of research activities. Directs the prioritization of data warehousing activities within the organization. Deploys and provides oversight of an effective Data Governance Program. Maintains positive relations acting as liaison to ensure collaboration across multiple disciplines. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills [Required] Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals [Required] Thorough knowledge of information systems and their application to healthcare and ability to creatively use existing resources for problem resolution. [Required] Knowledge of current issues in the healthcare environment, particularly regarding quality measurement, outcomes studies, healthcare finance, and patient safety. [Required] Knowledge and application of statistical analyses, including financial variance analysis and statistical significance preferred. [Required] Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of staff and leadership as well as external stakeholders of the organization. [Required] Strong organizational skills with the ability to focus detailed, concentrated effort on multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. [Required] Ability to effectively respond to time-sensitive issues and meet deadlines. [Required] Initiative and ability to work independently (self-direction), while fostering collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness. [Required] Attention to detail that ensures follow-through on all initiatives implemented and all projects undertaken. [Required] Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor message to individuals and audiences throughout the institution. [Required] Mastery of desktop applications, including MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access) and database management applications. [Required] Knowledge of data science tools such as Machine Learning and R.
