About the position Responsibilities • Drive the modernization of state technology procurement practices. • Manage CDS's diverse funding portfolio, including grants and legislative appropriations. • Develop funding strategies and manage complex budgets while ensuring compliance. • Build an agile procurement capacity across state government through a community of practice. • Serve as a bridge between technical teams, fiscal staff, and agency leadership to adopt modern procurement approaches. • Collaborate with civic technology partners to contribute to the broader government technology ecosystem. Requirements • At least 5 years of public or private strategic financial operations experience with a focus on procurement design and strategy. • Demonstrated experience in managing complex funding portfolios and vendor relationships. • Strong understanding of technology procurement and modern software development. Nice-to-haves • Experience modernizing procurement practices in government or large organizations. • Background in government contracting or public sector procurement. • Experience building communities of practice or leading organizational change.
