We operate high-volume, data-intensive platforms serving millions of consumers monthly across insurance, financial services, and other verticals.About This RoleDMS is looking for an IT Manager to professionalize and scale our IT operations as the company grows. This role is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of IT services and for building the foundational processes, tooling, and standards that a modern, compliance-conscious technology organization requires. You will own the IT function end-to-end — from device management and access controls to onboarding and offboarding workflows — and will be expected to raise the bar significantly from where we are today.This is a hands-on role for someone who brings both operational rigor and a continuous improvement mindset. You will evaluate, implement, and own industry-standard IT tools, establish repeatable processes, and work closely with HR, Finance, and Tech to ensure our IT environment is organized, secure, and audit-ready.ResponsibilitiesOwn the day-to-day delivery of IT services across the organization, ensuring systems and tools are reliable, well-maintained, and properly supportedEvaluate, implement, and own an asset management system to track all hardware, software, and peripherals; enforce policies for procurement, assignment, refresh cycles, and end-of-life dispositionEvaluate and implement an MDM solution enabling remote management, monitoring, and wipe capabilities for company-owned devicesDesign and own structured IT onboarding and offboarding workflows in partnership with HR; ensure new hires are provisioned on day one and departed employees are fully deprovisioned promptlyEstablish and run a regular user access review process; define role-based access standards and enforce least-privilege principles across critical systemsPartner with Security and Infrastructure to maintain and improve the IT security baseline; own email security tooling, maintain patching cadence, and contribute to SOC 2 readiness and compliance initiativesOversee IT helpdesk and support, define and track SLAs, and evaluate/implement an ITSM platform (e.g., Freshservice, Jira Service Management) to manage tickets and build institutional knowledgeDevelop and maintain IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans; define RTO/RPO objectives, validate backup processes, and test incident response runbooks regularlyOwn and manage the IT budget including hardware, SaaS subscriptions, and vendor contracts; identify cost optimization opportunities and hold vendors accountable to SLAsManage software license agreements and vendor relationships; maintain accurate inventory and optimize spendEstablish and maintain runbooks and SOPs for common IT tasks to reduce tribal knowledge dependency and improve time-to-resolution
Requirements
What We're Looking For5+ years of IT operations or systems administration experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or management capacityExperience with ITSM platforms (e.g., Freshservice, Jira Service Management, ServiceNow)Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Kandji, Intune) and asset management toolingStrong working knowledge of Google Workspace administration, identity and access management, and SaaS platform managementExperience designing and implementing IT onboarding/offboarding workflowsFamiliarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, SOX, or similar) and the role IT operations plays in audit readinessStrong documentation habits and a process-oriented approach to operationsAbility to work cross-functionally with HR, Security, Engineering, and FinanceSelf-directed — able to assess gaps, prioritize, and execute without requiring close oversightNice to HaveExperience with AWS or cloud infrastructure basicsScripting or automation skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for IT task automationExperience developing or testing disaster recovery and business continuity plansCompensationThe anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $125,000–$140,000. Actual compensation may vary based on work experience, education, and skill level.
