Team Oversight and Development:Defines team vision and direction and guides team to meet stated objectives.Encourages team development and fosters a positive working environment. Directly oversees multiple categories and develops associate's business acumen and merchandising skills, serving as a sounding board, escalation point, and mentor.Indirectly oversees the floor planning capability for categories of responsibility.Vendor Oversight and Resolution:Owns strategic, senior-level vendor relationships with key account vendor partners and design agencies.Drives initiatives with vendor partners from inception through to execution. Works cross-functionally with Merchants, PAR, marketing and .com to ensure cohesive customer experiences. Handles any issues that require senior-level escalation with the agencies.Budget Forecasting and Timeline Management:Owns budgeting process for in-store initiatives by working across key stakeholders, fixture procurement, finance and Senior Leaders to obtain approval. Maintains timelines and develops risk-mitigation plans to ensure programs are effectively delivered to the stores.Dissemminates plans and budgets to appropriate team members and/or agencies/vendors.Cross-Chain Strategy and Oversight:Ensures best practices are uniformly applied to Dicks House of Sport. Works with Merchants, PAR, Operations and Field partners to develop cross-chain merchandising strategies as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in a related field7-10 years of related experienceIn-store merchandising experience#LI-VJ1
