Boulder County Sheriff's Office is inviting applications for the role of Deputy District Attorney for the 20th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The Deputy District Attorney I is responsible for managing a county court docket, developing trial skills, and representing the Office of the District Attorney professionally while adhering to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism. Responsibilities Prepares and tries cases involving misdemeanor, traffic and petty offenses Assists the Chief Deputy in the intake of misdemeanor and traffic cases Explains and interprets statutes and status of various cases to the general public, and determines the adequacy of complaints presented by the public Assists district court and juvenile court deputies in the prosecution of routine felony matters Periodically serves on call to provide legal advice to law enforcement agencies and answer immediate questions from the general public Attorneys will be required, on occasion, to respond to crime scenes at all hours and weekends Candidates will be expected to have a strong work ethic and demonstrate good teamwork Performs related work, as required May be reassigned during emergency situations Skills Bachelor of Law (LLB) or Juris Doctorate (JD) Applicants must be licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado Applicants must have a valid driver's license A job offer is contingent on passing a criminal background investigation with fingerprinting All applicants are required to attach a cover letter and resume for this position Bilingual in Spanish and English Benefits Outstanding options of comprehensive health plans that include vision and dental coverage.Family-forming benefits- infertility treatment, adoption and surrogacy reimbursements 12 weeks Paid Caregiver leave Breast feeding friendly-work environment Sick child care, an infants-at-work policy Access to LifeMart discount hub, including discounts on childcare centers, event tickets, travel and more!
