Delivery Driver
We are seeking independent subcontractor delivery drivers to join our team! We provide the cargo vans and other necessary overhead expenses.
Rural Delivery Service (RDS) is a local same-day delivery service primarily serving the horse and buggy communities. We are seeking responsible cargo van drivers. We are a small business, but ever-growing! We are continually looking for drivers to add to our team.
Location: We are based in Quarryville, PA, but our service extends throughout Lancaster County and surrounding areas. Please note: driver MUST reside in the location the job post is listed in (Cochranville, PA), as routes start and finish at the driver's residence.
Schedule: Business hours Monday-Friday. Weekends off, as well as National holidays and Amish holidays!
?Responsibilities:
? Pick up and deliver packages to and from locations in a timely manner
? Load and unload vehicle
? Manage invoicing
? Inspect and monitor delivery vehicle
? Maintain accurate inventory of packages and materials
?Qualifications:
? Must be 25 years of age or older (for insurability requirements)
? Must provide 3 character references (not family members)
? Demonstrate proficiency and accuracy in using our custom invoicing and route management software (after a reasonable training period)
? Average smartphone proficiency for communication, GPS/routing apps, etc.
? Experience in delivery driving, customer service, or other related fields (preferred)
? Clean driving record
? Ability to handle physical workload
? Detail-oriented
? Team-oriented
? Responsible
? Overall - good work ethic, dependable, and friendly!
