[Remote] Senior DevOps Engineer

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is a law firm with a wholly owned ancillary business, Precision eControl, that provides integrated solutions for eCommerce. The Senior DevOps Engineer will design and operate cloud infrastructure primarily on Microsoft Azure, while preparing for a transition to AWS, focusing on creating reliable and scalable systems and improving CI/CD processes.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform services in Azure; plan and execute migration patterns to AWSOwn CI/CD and environment automation (build, test, deploy, release) to enable safe, repeatable deliveryImplement and evolve observability (metrics, logs, traces, alerting) to improve reliability, performance, and incident responseTroubleshoot and resolve production issues across cloud, networking, CI/CD, and platform services; contribute to on-call/incident practicesPartner cross-functionally (application, data, platform) through sprint ceremonies to define standards and uplift delivery practicesSkills5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering roles supporting production systemsStrong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services, including compute, networking, storage, IAM (Identity and Access Management), and monitoringPractical experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or demonstrated ability to design for multi-cloud portability and future migrationExtensive experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform (ARM/Bicep or CloudFormation beneficial)Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for modern applications or data workflowsStrong understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker; Kubernetes on AKS/EKS)Experience implementing observability (monitoring, logging, alerting) and contributing to incident response for distributed systemsProven ability to debug complex production issues across infrastructure, deployments, and application layers, and to collaborate across engineering, data, and security teamsBachelor's degree in related discipline or combination of equivalent education and experience5 - 7 years of experience in similar field5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles with exposure to both AWS and AzureExperience planning or supporting cloud migration initiatives between Azure and AWS, or from on-premises environments to the cloudFamiliarity with cost optimization, capacity planning, or cloud financial operationsExposure to data-intensive workloads such as data pipelines, batch processing, or crawling systemsExperience with secrets management or policy‑as‑code frameworks and general cloud compliance practicesBachelor's degree in computer science preferredBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionFSALife and disability coveragePaid maternity & parental leaveFamily building resourcesIdentity theft protectionA 401(k) planPaid sick, personal and vacation timeSome benefits are provided automatically, while others may be available for voluntary enrollmentOpportunities for professional growthWork-life balancePrograms that recognize and celebrate your contributionsCompany OverviewVorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease LLP is an American law firm provide business & legal counsel to clients throughout the world.
