Database Optimizer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Database Optimizer with a strong track record of improving database performance, scalability, and reliability. You will be responsible for analyzing and fine-tuning complex databases to ensure efficient data access and robust system performance.

️ Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance metrics
• Identify and resolve complex query bottlenecks and database design issues
• Design and implement advanced indexing, partitioning, and storage strategies
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and architecture teams to optimize database infrastructure
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
• Write, review, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts
• Ensure database security, compliance, and best practices are maintained
• Provide mentoring and guidance to junior DBAs and developers

✅ Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience in database optimization and performance tuning
• Expertise in relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server
• Strong skills in SQL query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and database profiling tools
• Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, SolarWinds, Datadog)
• Deep understanding of database architecture, security, and compliance standards
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
