Database Analyst – PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB

Job Description: • Provide critically needed support to the Database team • Working as part of the Managed Application, Infrastructure, Networking, Enterprise, and Security Services (MAINES) contract • Configure and deploy PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB databases • Collaborate with development teams to integrate databases seamlessly with existing applications • Implement required security protocols • Develop and maintain scripts for enforcing security compliance and monitoring database activities • Perform routine administration tasks including backups, patching, and performance tuning • Optimize query performance and indexing strategies • Manage both RDS and on-premises instances • Implement monitoring tools to track database performance, reliability, and security compliance Requirements: • 5+ years of related experience • US Citizenship Required: Yes • PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB DBA support experience • Experience with Oracle is a plus • Bachelor’s degree Benefits: • A variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts • Dental plan options • A vision plan • 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match • Full flex work weeks where possible • A variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave • 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness • 10 paid holidays per year • The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees • Short and long-term disability benefits • Life, accidental death and dismemberment, personal accident, critical illness and business travel and accident insurance are provided or available.
