Data Engineer (Remote - Europe)

As a Data Engineer, you will play a central role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data systems that power decision-making and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into clean, reliable, and actionable insights, ensuring data pipelines are robust, efficient, and future-proof. Accountabilities: Build, manage, and optimize scalable data systems and pipelines, while contributing to their overall architecture. Transform, organize, and evaluate raw data into clean, structured, and reliable datasets. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and analysts to turn business needs into technical solutions. Integrate and combine data from multiple sources to support analytics, predictive, and prescriptive modeling. Continuously monitor and improve data pipeline performance, quality, and reliability. Contribute to the development of a semantic layer and self-service analytics for internal stakeholders. Identify opportunities for new data acquisition, enrichment, and automation. Requirements At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. Strong expertise in DBT, SQL, Python, and data orchestration frameworks (Prefect or similar). Proven experience with ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data mining, and big data processing. Hands-on experience designing and maintaining pipelines in cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency with relational databases and handling semi-structured/tabular data. Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Lightdash or Hex. Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
