Remote, California Licensed, Consumer Arbitration Contract Attorney
We are working with a mid-sized, San Francisco, California based firm, with a corporate, family wealth planning, intellectual property, litigation, real estate, and taxation practice, seeking an attorney having a minimum of seven years (7+) of consumer arbitration experience to apply to disputes arising from a client’s provision of travel-related services through an application (“app”). Customer use of the app generates a significant number of disputes, all of which are subject to arbitration. The attorney hired will not be required to go to court, physically, but must appear for video proceedings, as needed. The successful candidate will be very knowledgeable about the applicable arbitration rules and will be an excellent arbitration brief writer, preparing all briefs necessary from inception through settlement. The arbitration matters for which the need exists are fast moving; so, the job needs someone who requires no training and who can hit the ground running on the very first day.
The expected duration of the project is three to six (3 to 6) months. The expected number of of hours per week is twenty to thirty (20 – 30). The hired attorney will be required to keep regular business hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must be both very flexible and very responsive. An immediate start is anticipated. The compensation rate for the position is $158/hr.
