Data Engineer, Data Migration Focus
Job Description: • Design and implement data pipelines to migrate data from legacy systems into Salesforce • Partner with developers to identify and document system mappings (old legacy system → new legacy system in Salesforce) • Perform field mapping, transformation logic, and prepare technical documentation (spreadsheets, mapping templates) • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data via APIs and other integration tools • Conduct test migrations and develop validation strategies to ensure data integrity • Perform data cleansing, enrichment, and optimization before loading into the bolthires system • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to analyze data requirements, evaluate additional fields, and coordinate with devs for object/field mapping • Continuously improve ETL processes for performance, scalability, and error handling • Conduct data analysis to support business decisions and migration requirements Requirements: • Strong foundation in data modeling principles • Proficiency in Python (must have), with experience using Pandas for data wrangling (nice to have) • Advanced spreadsheet expertise: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, COUNT A, IFERROR formulas, data deduplication, and data formatting • Experience with ETL tools and processes (designing, optimizing, error handling) • Familiarity with Salesforce data structures and Data Loader • Knowledge of SQL for data querying and validation • Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, bolthires Cloud) • Previous involvement in data migration projects is a strong plus • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersBenefits: • Competitive hourly rate (flexible based on experience) • Flexible, ad hoc engagement • Permanent work-from-home setup • Friendly and collaborative team culture • Opportunity to make a direct impact on client-facing success Apply tot his job Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
