Data Engineer - Big Data & AI Enablement

Responsibilities Kforce is seeking a Data Engineer to support a major telecommunications client on a renewable contract basis. This role partners closely with data scientists to enable agentic AI and advanced analytics use cases through scalable, reliable data pipelines. The position is fully remote. Duties Include: • Design, build, and maintain large-scale data pipelines to support AI and analytics workloads • Enable data scientists by providing clean, reliable, and accessible datasets • Work with big data technologies to process high-volume telemetry and metadata • Collaborate cross-functionally to support anomaly detection and agent-driven solutions • Optimize data workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability Requirements • Strong experience with AWS • Proficiency in Python • Hands-on experience with Apache Spark • Experience with Scala, Java, and/or C++ (multiple languages strongly preferred) • General big data engineering experience • Proven experience working closely with data science teams Nice-to-Have Qualifications: • Networking or telecommunications domain experience • Experience supporting AI/ML or agentic systems The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law.
