Assistant Controller - Mostly Remote for DMV Candidates
About the Company and Opportunity:
Our client is well-known non-profit who has been around for almost 100 years!
Due to vacancy, they are hiring a temporary Assistant Controller.
Position is mostlyremote; candidates will have to go into the MD or DC office 1x per quarter and as needed by management.
Pay: $58-60/hr depending on experience.
Metro Accessible
Duration: contract-to-hire, depending on performance, fit, and needs of the business
Schedule: M-F, 8a-5p/9a-6p, 40-hour work week
Overview of the Assistant Controller role:
Review and approve recurring entries
Audit
990's and 990-T's
Oversee AP and Payroll
Forecasting and budgeting
Maintain internal controls
Month-end Close activities
Consolidations
Reporting
Ad hoc projects/reporting
Preferred Qualifications for the Assistant Controller:
Master's in Accounting/Finance or related field is preferred
CPA is a plus
10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Oracle Fusion and ADP Workforce Now is a plus
Non-profit experience is a must
Proficient in Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
