The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS services, data engineering best practices, and modern ETL frameworks to enable robust data processing for analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality datasets that support strategic decision-making. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data architecture, optimize workflows for performance and cost efficiency, and ensure data security and compliance across cloud environments. • *Qualifications • 3–6 years of professional experience in Data Engineering with a focus on AWS cloud services • Hands-on experience with AWS services including Glue, Redshift, EMR, Lambda, S3, and Athena • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in PySpark/Spark • Proficiency in SQL and data modeling for analytical workloads • Experience with ETL frameworks, data lake architecture, and big data processing • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow and AWS Step Functions • Knowledge of data security best practices and AWS IAM policies • Experience writing and managing Terraform scripts with hands-on involvement • *Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes utilizing AWS services like Glue, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, and S3 • Implement data ingestion frameworks capable of handling structured and unstructured data from diverse sources • Optimize data workflows for enhanced performance, scalability, and cost efficiency • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to deliver accurate and timely datasets for analytics and reporting • Ensure data security, compliance, and governance across all AWS environments in accordance with organizational policies • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within data pipelines to maintain high availability and reliability • Participate in CI/CD pipeline development for automated deployment and version control of data solutions • Develop and manage Terraform scripts for infrastructure as code, ensuring reproducibility and consistency • *Benefits** • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans, available from the first day of employment • Participation in the company’s 401(k) retirement plan after 30 days • 11 paid holidays annually • 12 weeks of parental leave to support work-life balance • Flexible paid time off policy to accommodate sick leave or vacation needs Equal Opportunity Fractal is an equal employment opportunity employer.
