Data Engineer
Pierre Fabre is the 2nd largest dermo-cosmetics laboratory in the world and a leading multinational specialty healthcare company. We are seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement scalable data architectures, oversee data platforms, and collaborate on Master Data Management frameworks to enhance data governance practices. Responsibilities Design and implement a scalable, high-performance data architecture aligned with business objectives Integrate disparate data sources into a unified, reliable single source of truth Cascade global strategy locally while pushing the boundaries of the data and tech stack Enable seamless data flow between systems through robust data transformation and integration strategies Modernize legacy data systems to enhance efficiency and drive innovation Collaborate with the Head of Data to develop and implement a comprehensive MDM framework ensuring data integrity and governance Establish and enforce best practices in data governance, working closely with global and regional teams Drive system performance optimization and cost efficiency across data infrastructure Continuously evaluate emerging technologies, mitigating potential disruptions while capitalizing on new opportunities for innovation Advance a culture of excellence through collaboration, data ownership, and quality standards Collaborate with local and global teams to share and implement best practices Mentor and upskill team members, cultivate a data-driven culture, and ensure the organization leverages its information assets with integrity and strategic insight Skills Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field 1-4 years of experience in IT, Data Engineering, or related fields 1-4 years in data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling 1-4 years of coding experience in SQL, Python, R, or similar languages Experience working with Tableau and BI tools Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Snowflake, Denodo, Amazon Marketing Cloud, GCP) Knowledge of data modeling principles, schema design, and dimensional modeling A positive, adaptable attitude to thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment Deep expertise in data architecture, MDM, analytics platforms, and tools Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions Strong project management skills, managing multiple data sources and deadlines Ability to architect and develop scalable data solutions, staying ahead of industry trends Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams SQL language coding and Python or other programming languages are a plus Knowledge of PowerBI or Tableau or comparable BI platform is a plus Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Voluntary benefits A 401(k) retirement plan A generous PTO policy Paid company holidays Paid parental leave Employee discounts on our products Professional development opportunities Access to mental health and wellness programs Company Overview Laboratoires Pierre Fabre held by the Pierre Fabre Foundation, is a worldwide company with a unique positioning : the alliance of pharmaceutical and dermocosmetics expertise.
