Data Center Construction Project Engineer (RCDD)
Summary of Position:
The Project Manager is responsible for multiple utility construction projects. Responsibilities include management of work crews so that utility construction can be completed within budget, on schedule, and with zero incidents. This position is primarily in-office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ā¢ Enforce all Company, OSHA and other applicable procedures and standards
ā¢ Design & Engineering: Develop and review structured cabling designs (copper and fiber), ensuring they meet industry standards (TIA/EIA, BICSI), client requirements, and future scalability.
ā¢ Project Coordination: Work directly with architects, engineers, general contractors, and vendors to integrate telecommunications infrastructure into the overall construction project.
ā¢ RCDD Oversight: Apply RCDD expertise to guarantee compliant, efficient, and high-performance network pathways, spaces, and communications rooms.
ā¢ Documentation: Prepare design drawings, specifications, bill of materials, and ensure accurate "as-built" documentation.
ā¢ Quality Assurance: Perform site inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to design, safety, and industry standards.
ā¢ Change Management: Address field changes, construction issues, and RFI (request for information) responses quickly and accurately.
ā¢ Testing & Commissioning: Oversee cable testing and certification, troubleshoot issues, and validate system performance.
ā¢ Improve personal, technical, and supervisory skills through personal development plans and offered trainings
ā¢ Represent and promote the company's mission, vision, and values
ā¢ Safety training as required by position
ā¢ Perform other duties as assigned
ā¢ Provide constant and consistent feedback with your clients in order to continue building trust and project focus.
ā¢ Understand that client engagement and development is one of the most important aspects of the position.
ā¢ Create an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration, while fostering employee engagement.

ā¢ Provide oversight and leadership for team members, consultants, and contractors to complete project assignments on schedule.
Essential Education and Qualifications:
ā¢ High School education or GED
ā¢ Valid Driver's License
ā¢ Must possess at least 5-7 years of experience in a project management role
ā¢ Ability to use computers /electronic devices
ā¢ Able to read blueprints and follow job specifications and orders
ā¢ Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint
ā¢ Experience within the Telecommunication/Wireless industry preferred.
ā¢ RCDD certification required
ā¢ RCDD Certification: Must hold active BICSI RCDD credential
ā¢ Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of structured cabling (fiber, coax, copper), pathways, spaces, data center MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) integration
ā¢ Project Management: Strong skills in scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and multi-disciplinary coordination
