Data Architect (Remote)

About the position The Data Architect at ChemTreat will lead the development of a comprehensive and scalable enterprise data architecture, focusing on efficient data management, integration, and business intelligence. This role involves driving data innovation through Azure technologies while ensuring robust data governance, security, and compliance, all aimed at supporting the mission to safeguard vital water resources. Responsibilities • Lead data consolidation and integration efforts across platforms (e.g., OTM, EDI, BankFabric). • Create high-level design documents and evaluate new data solutions for integration. • Define and execute data migration strategies with robust quality assurance. • Support application development and upgrades while managing risk effectively. • Establish data governance policies and maintain data integrity. • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and privacy laws globally. • Troubleshoot data imports and optimize system functionality. • Collaborate across teams to resolve data challenges and streamline processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related fields. • 3-5 years in IT, with a focus on Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database). • Strong expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, and BI development. • Knowledge of SQL and programming languages like Python, Java, or PHP. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and a background in application development or systems engineering.
