What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Leverage internal tools and systems to collect and analyze data while maintaining data integrity
Analyze industry data to identify title opportunities for practical nonfiction publishing
Support editorial decisions by translating data findings into actionable insights
Manage day-to-day data tasks to meet downstream insight needs throughout the title development process
Assist the Director of Data Analytics with various data analytics needs
What Is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a relevant field
Strong mathematical and statistical background
Hands-on experience with data analysis and machine learning projects
Experience translating data findings into actionable business insights
Proficiency in SQL and Python
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Familiarity with MS PowerBI or similar data reporting tools
Experience in publishing or the media industry is a plus
Familiarity with command line tools and Git version control
Knowledge of machine learning and natural language processing concepts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
