Cyber Security Analyst

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic IT security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organization’s information systems by implementing, monitoring, and managing security measures across various platforms and networks. This role requires a strong understanding of network architecture, system security, and incident response protocols, with experience in cloud computing environments and security frameworks. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a critical role in protecting sensitive data, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the organization’s cybersecurity strategy. Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze security alerts using tools to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities. • Conduct vulnerability research and perform security analysis to detect and mitigate risks across network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, macOS), and cloud environments (AWS, Google Cloud Platform). • Manage network security devices including firewalls (Cisco ASA), VPNs, IDS/IPS systems, and Cisco ISE for identity & access management. • Implement and maintain security protocols • Support incident response activities by investigating breaches or anomalies and coordinating remediation efforts. • Ensure compliance with industry standards • Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports to support ongoing cybersecurity initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; • Proven experience in cybersecurity analysis within enterprise environments. • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure services like AWS or Google Cloud Platform including PaaS/IaaS models. • Ability to perform vulnerability research and apply best practices for system security enhancements. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail; ability to work under pressure during incident response scenarios.
