Key Responsibilities


Answer a high volume of incoming calls and member-facing chats, providing timely and effective solutions to customer inquiries.
Determine member needs and provide appropriate solutions, including answering general Costco.com/item questions and investigating complex circumstances related to online orders, tracking, and deliveries.
Consider and offer compensations as needed, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve issues.
Act as a liaison between Costco.com clients, merchants, buying, and operations staff, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
Utilize multiple computer programs simultaneously on different screens while on the phone or answering chats, demonstrating proficiency in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Employ critical thinking and decision-making skills to resolve order/item/delivery issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications:


Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Certifications: E-commerce Customer Service Specialist Certificate (completed after a 14-day training class).
Experience: Previous customer care experience preferred, but not required.
Skills: Customer service, computer literacy, professional business writing, typing proficiency (minimum typing speed of 30 wpm), and excellent communication skills.
Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and split days off.
