Credit Modernization Product Owner

Location: Remote – But prefer someone close to one of their offices (Columbus, Cleveland/Akron, Minneapolis) - Onsite 3 days a week if in Columbus – going to 4 days/week in fall. Would need to travel to an office 1 time per quarter for meetings.

Duration: 12 month Contract

Role Summary: The Product Owner supports the vision of strategic initiatives under the guidance of a Product Director. Responsibilities include defining EPICs and Features, collaborating with business segment leaders and UX leads, obtaining approval on features from Legal, Risk, and Compliance, and ensuring proper definition and approval of features through architecture and UX wire reviews.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Document Features aligned with MMP Epics to meet business requirements and OKRs.
• Conduct business process assessments with Product Manager, Product Owners, and SMEs to identify needs and priorities.
• Utilize data analytics and customer/colleague feedback to understand business challenges and improvement opportunities.
• Assist in creating process maps to illustrate business processes and system integrations.
• Act as SME on business topics and clarify Feature requirements for Product Owners.
• Support Product Owners in addressing issues and blockers hindering feature delivery.
• Manage enhancement backlog and facilitate review and prioritization with program leadership.
• Maintain transparency on Program Health measurement for program leadership awareness.
• Coordinate collaboration efforts across program teams to track dependencies.
• Partner with Product Team, SMEs, and Technology partners to plan Release schedule.
• Support coordination of UAT and Business Readiness activities.
• Assist in post-production discussions and closing functional gaps.
• Measure performance against expectations and modify strategies when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Must have Salesforce experience and understand how it works, not just as a user.
• 5+ years of Non-Consumer Lending or Banking experience.
• Experience in re-designing Business and Commercial Banking customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong problem-solving skills grounded in data and feedback.
• Experience in facilitating and documenting current and future state processes.
• Ability to translate business needs to technology teams.
• Understanding of business user perspective and KPIs.
• Highly collaborative with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative, and ambiguous environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop relationships across all levels of an organization.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Experience in Digital solutions, agile development processes, and/or related regulatory requirements preferred.
