Creative Writer / Ideator, Mobile Gaming UA Ads
About the role
We're looking for a creative writer and ideator to support our team by concepting and scripting ads and trailers for mobile game publishers and other brands. You'll read briefs, develop concepts, write scripts, hooks, and full spots. You’ll turn in revisions quickly to keep up with the pace of performance marketing testing. This is a high-volume job.
What you'll do
● Read and interpret UA briefs from clients and our internal team
● Generate high-volume concept briefs across various formats: UGC, 2D, 3D, scripted live-action, playables, AI-generated video, etc.
● Write scripts, hooks, VO, on-screen text, and end card copy
● Revise quickly and often, addressing internal and client feedback
● Pitch your work in internal reviews and client-facing decks
● Ramp up on new clients, genres, and IPs quickly
● Collaborate with designers, editors, producers, and other writers
Requirements
Creative writer first.
You have a voice. Your work doesn't sound like it could have come from anyone else.
Gamer.
You actually play games. Mobile, console, or PC all count, though mobile is a strong plus. You understand core loops, genres, and what makes a game work for its audience.
Advertising and marketing experience.
UA advertising is strongly preferred. Having a performance-marketing mindset is a must. You know what a good hook length is and why it matters.
Ad concept portfolio.
You can show us concepts you've written and, ideally, ads that were produced and ran. If they performed, even better.
Volume and speed.
You can generate multiple distinct concept directions against a brief and turn revisions around ias needed.
Self-managing.
You can pick up a brief, ask the right clarifying questions, and drive the work without hand-holding.
Nice to have
● Production workflow experience (scripting, storyboarding, edit, delivery)
● Experience across multiple ad platforms (Meta, TikTok, AppLovin, Unity Ads) and awareness of how each reads
● Experience writing for licensed IP
● Deck-building chops (Google Slides, Keynote). Must be able to support your ideas with moodboard imagery.
