Cost analyst

The cost analyst is responsible for monitoring standard costs in the ERP system and for the periodic updating of standard costs. They act as a key business partner to operational (plant) finance and work closely with internal clients of the cost accounting department, such as category finance, commercial finance, and financial analytics. Salary range 004: $73 000 to 91 200$ (Salary will be determined based on skills, education, training & experience related to the position.) Your role in achieving results: Formula management: Create, update, and perform periodic reviews of formulas in integrated systems. Raw material updates: Collaborate with the Cost Lead to update raw materials and follow up with plant controllers to annually adjust Bills of Materials (raw materials, ingredients, packaging). Overhead cost tracking: Implement a tracking process with plant controllers for the annual update of manufacturing overhead costs (Plant, FSP, Depreciation). Variance analysis: Identify, analyze, and explain variances between updates, linking them to clear and business-oriented explanations. Cost analysis production: Produce various cost-of-goods analyses (new recipes, total production, dairy network impacts). Pricing model management: Manage and optimize Cost+ pricing models. Reporting and data integrity: Produce raw material reports and ensure data integrity across systems. ERP project participation: Actively contribute to the understanding and development of new tools as part of the SAP ERP deployment. What we are looking for to deliver these results: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent CPA designation (an asset) 3–4 years of experience in the manufacturing sector, finance, or cost accounting Advanced Excel skills (SAP, Oracle) Strong analytical and synthesis skills, ability to meet deadlines, autonomy, and curiosity Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
