Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and reporting cost-related information, supporting business decisions with accurate financial data, and helping to improve profitability and cost efficiency. Key Accountabilities: Analyze manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and processes. Monitor and report on inventory valuations, cost of goods sold, and variances. Conduct margin analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with operations and production teams to track and control costs. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Support month-end and year-end close processes related to cost accounting. Prepare audit documentation and support external/internal audit requirements. Attend and participate in annual inventory counts. Continuously improve systems and processes to streamline costing practices. Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (designation preferred). 3+ years of proven experience in cost accounting or a similar role. Strong understanding of accounting principles, inventory management, and cost control. Proficiency in accounting software, Netsuite, and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to communicate financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
