What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate closely with product and IT leadership to advise on technology initiatives, including AI features
- Support privacy, trustworthy AI, and security programs through policy maintenance and implementation
- Oversee vendor and partner due diligence reviews related to privacy and trustworthy AI
- Draft and negotiate agreements with vendors, customers, and partners
- Monitor and communicate new privacy, AI, and security laws and developments globally
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 4-6 years of relevant legal experience at a law firm or in-house
- Qualified lawyer in Colombia
- Fluency in written and spoken English at CEFR C1 level or above
- Knowledge of global data privacy laws, including EU GDPR
- In-depth experience in drafting and negotiating contracts in English
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Privacy or AI certification such as IAPP CIPP / AIGP
- Knowledge of global AI laws such as the EU AI Act and the Colorado AI Act
- Experience advising global SaaS companies
- Experience with laws applicable to institutions of higher education, including FERPA
