About the position Responsibilities • Edit and/or rewrite reports, briefs, PowerPoint presentations, success stories, blogs, and news articles on subjects related to data science and digital health. • Provide critical review of writing for coherence, organization, completeness, and clarity, suggesting approaches to improve the quality of materials. • Proofread documents by content writers, ensuring accuracy and quality. • Ensure written materials meet branding requirements and conform to APA style. • Critique and suggest improvements to data science and digital health materials written in English, with a preference for French and Spanish as well. • Conduct other communications-related tasks to support the portfolio's communications strategies, as agreed between Palladium and the consultant. Requirements • 5 years professional experience as a copyeditor • Deep familiarity with APA and other relevant style guides • Ability to work with tight deadlines and manage parallel assignments • Ability to edit documents quickly and efficiently (e.g., proof a 20-page document within 4 hours) • High degree of responsiveness to email • Excellent communication skills and ability to parse and hone meaning • Strong attention to detail and concern for accuracy and comprehensiveness • Strong aptitude with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint • Flexibility and willingness to deal with a workload that ebbs and flows • 8 years or more of professional experience as a copyeditor • Experience preparing documents for academic publication, preferably in fields of social science, health, and/or digital technologies • Experience working for international development projects, especially USAID-funded projects • High level of knowledge of digital health and global health Nice-to-haves • Experience with French and Spanish language materials Benefits • Fully remote position • Opportunity to work on international development projects • Engagement with a diverse and inclusive team Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
