The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) is an MLS soccer club dedicated to delivering an unrivaled experience for fans. The Coordinator, Merchandise supports the planning, development, and execution of official club merchandise and retail initiatives, working cross-functionally to drive fan engagement and revenue growth.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the planning and development of LAFC branded merchandise, including but not limited to apparel, headwear, and accessories across men, women and youth categoriesCoordinate product timelines from concept through production and retail launchMaintain production calendars, launch schedules, and promotional plansTrack and coordinate sample approvals, revisions, and final production deliverables with vendors and partnersAssist in providing feedback and/or approvals to league licensed vendorsEnsure merchandise aligns with club brand standards and abides by league licensing requirementsCoordinate communication with merchandise vendors, licensees, manufacturers, and MLS consumer products teamCoordinate communication with in-venue retail store general managerCoordinate communication with ecommerce retail management teamSupport special edition merchandise launches tied to club milestones, collaborations, or tournaments when applicableCoordinate with the club marketing, creative, and digital teams to support merchandise campaigns, promotional materials, and special launch eventsAssist in preparing merchandise and sourcing models/locations for photoshoots, marketing activations, and promotional contentEnsure visual merchandising aligns with promotions/campaigns and brand standards for matchdays and special eventsAssist with creating product storytelling and merchandising presentations for internal teamsAssist with merchandise activations at matchdays, club events, and community initiativesCoordinate logistics and planning for merchandise pop-ups, fan experiences, and retail promotionsAssist with inventory tracking, internal order allocation, and product distribution across retail channelsMaintain, monitor, and compile accurate merchandise records, sales performance, product databases, and reporting toolsSupport cross-departmental coordination to ensure timely product launches and internal order requestsAssist with budgeting documentation, invoices, expenses, and merchandise reportingOther duties as assigned by Supervisor/ManagementSkillsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Fashion or Design, Sports Management, or related field requiredAt least 1 year of experience in retail operations, merchandising, or customer service/hospitalityStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneouslyExcellent communication and collaboration skillsExperience working in Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere, etc)Experience working in Google suite (Sheets, Docs, Drive, etc)Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc)Must be comfortable working in various work environments, such as office environments, retail locations, and event spacesMust have reliable transportation to commute and transport inventory to various work locations throughout Southern California at any given noticeMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance and stand/walk for long period of timeFlexible schedule with the ability to work nights, weekends, matchdays and holidays as the event calendar requiresPrior experience in sports, lifestyle, design, fashion/streetwear apparel preferredExperience with photography and/or videography production, shooting, and editing preferredPrior experience planning, producing, and executing small events preferredStrong knowledge of Los Angeles culture and historyFamiliarity with merchandise licensing and product development cycles preferredPrior experience with inventory systems, retail reporting tools, or merchandising software preferredPassion for global football, sports culture, and the LAFC brandCompany OverviewLos Angeles Football Club is a sports company that operates football clubs.
