Now we're hiring to build even faster.
This is a high-growth, high-ownership startup. Everybody is an individual contributor, there are no middle managers or bureaucracy. You'll learn quick and get as much responsibility as you can handle. We look for 3 key traits:
Agency: do you push the limits of what's possible and don't wait for permission
Curiosity: are you eager to learn (from teammates, customers, and the world)
Attention to detail: can you be proud of the work you create

What you'll own:
- Weekly newsletters — drafted from source material like product walkthroughs, internal notes, and engineering tickets, then converted into blog posts
- LinkedIn content — multiple formats per week, including long-form, short-form, and image-led posts
- Monthly prospect newsletter plus the spin-off content that extends each edition across channels
- Blog posts expanded from newsletters, reports, and customer interviews
- Repurposing — taking one piece of source IP and slicing it into newsletter copy, LinkedIn posts, blog drafts, and short video scripts, etc.
- Support drafts for case studies, one-pagers, and quarterly report copy when volume requires it
What we're looking for:
- Someone who was writing before AI and still writes well without it. AI is a complementary tool.
- Sharp instincts for brand voice: RentEngine is confident, direct, and problem-first. We prefer data over adjectives.
- Property management, prop-tech, B2B SaaS, or fintech experience is a plus but not required. Curiosity about the space matters more.
- Self-directed individual. You'll work from transcripts, Linear tickets, screenshots, and source documents, and ask when something isn't clear.
Location / Timezone
Fully remote but in or near Cape Town is preferred for in-person sessions
All of our work happens in American timezones
Compensation
$15-$20 USD/hr (based on experience)
