We specialize in bringing back the brands people grew up loving — and turning them into viral sensations for today’s generation. Our brands are sold nationwide at major retailers, and our social content regularly drives massive engagement across generations.
We’re building an in-house creative powerhouse — and we’re looking for a Content Creator & Social Media Manager to help lead the charge.
This is not a remote position. We are looking for someone local to our Holmdel, NJ office who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly creative, social-first Content Creator who is equally comfortable behind a camera and behind a content calendar.
This person will:
• Capture high-quality photography and videography
• Create engaging short-form video (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
• Help concept and execute viral content ideas
• Manage and grow our social platforms
• Collaborate daily with our Director of Marketing (Head of Creative) and in-house Graphic Designer
You will help shape the voice and visual identity of Iconic Candy across platforms.
Content Creation Responsibilities
• Shoot and edit high-quality product photography and lifestyle content
• Produce short-form video content (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts)
• Develop “viral-first” concepts that tap into trends and nostalgia
• Film in-office content, behind-the-scenes moments, product launches, and event coverage
• Create UGC-style content that feels authentic and engaging
• Direct simple lifestyle shoots with props, models, and influencers
• Stay on top of emerging social trends, sounds, and platform updates
• Maintain organized content libraries and digital asset management
Social Media Management Responsibilities
• Manage daily posting across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms
• Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar in collaboration with marketing
• Write engaging captions that reflect Iconic Candy’s nostalgic yet modern voice
• Engage with followers in real time (comments, DMs, community management)
• Track and analyze performance metrics (engagement, reach, conversions)
• Optimize content based on analytics and platform insights
• Coordinate influencer content submissions and repost strategy
• Support retail program launches with social amplification
• Identify opportunities for viral moments and reactive content
Collaboration
You will work directly with:
• Director of Marketing / Head of Creative
• In-house Graphic Designer
• Sales and Brand Teams
This is a highly collaborative role requiring creativity, initiative, and strong communication skills.
Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of experience in content creation and/or social media management
• Strong photography and videography skills
• Proficiency in:
• Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop)
• CapCut or similar short-form editing platforms
• Experience shooting with DSLR/mirrorless cameras
• Deep understanding of Instagram and TikTok algorithms
• Strong copywriting skills for social captions
• Ability to identify trends early and execute quickly
• Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in-office full-time
Bonus Qualifications
• Experience in CPG, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands
• Experience working with influencers
• Experience running paid social ads
• Graphic design experience
• Experience creating viral content
Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 (based on experience)
