Construction Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper
The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable dealing with financial data and accounting software. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, processing payroll and conducting reconciliations or other tasks related to entry level accounting. The candidate should be detail oriented, and diligent at recording data and have an ability to produce clear financial reports with excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Bank and credit card reconciliations on monthly basis.
ā¢ Fixed asset data entry to subsidiary ledger or tracking system.
ā¢ Balance sheet account reconciliation on monthly/quarterly basis.
ā¢ Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
ā¢ Review of monthly transaction ledgers for accuracy and correction of errors.
ā¢ 1099 processing and preparation yearly.
Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
ā¢ 2+ years of experience in related field (construction accounting, public accounting firm)
ā¢ Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks, and/or other accounting system (Viewpoint, Spectrum, Sage Construction/Real Estate)
ā¢ Strong accounting knowledge of accrual methods of accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and generally accepted accounting principles in USA.
ā¢ Strong organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented
ā¢ Ability to work against deadlines to meet clients' expectation.
ā¢ Analytical skills for financial statement review.
