Computer Operations Representative II (Hybrid)

Salary Grade: 155N Salary Pay Range for This Position: $28.69 - $41.63 POSITION SUMMARY: Monitors all computer systems to ensure hardware and software are performing as they should. ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS: Maintains daily schedule processing. Has basic understanding of jobs and processes within. Troubleshoots problems with user devices. Prints system reports. Performs restores when necessary. Pulls ACH files from FED. Performs system/disk reorg’s. Ability to run and execute month-end processing. Creates, maintains, and updates Symitar jobs and schedules Opens and distributes mail, answers incoming calls, takes messages, and directs calls appropriately, conducts routine back-ups of systems monitored, maintains all department hardware, assists in the training of other operators on new and current process, and communicates with vendors. OTHER POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Prepare brief correspondence and reports and make presentations to groups outside immediate work area. May perform Computer Op I tasks, cross-train staff and perform miscellaneous tasks as required. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School education and three to five years experience in related field required. OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to navigate through Symitar operating system, support Symitar’s software, create reports, modify batch jobs in Symitar, use Windows 9x, NT and 2000, MS Office, and demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oral. COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
