Compliance Analyst
Sidley Austin LLP is a prominent law firm seeking a Compliance Analyst to support their compliance program and HR-related data needs. The role involves maintaining compliance calendars, producing reports, and ensuring adherence to employment laws while collaborating with the HR Compliance team.ResponsibilitiesMaintain compliance calendarProduce and maintain compliance and HR-related data reports and analyticsRegularly update HR data files and audit the accuracy of transactions across systems to ensure data integrityWork with the Compliance Specialist to prepare government-mandated reporting (e.g. EEO-1, California Pay Data Report, Illinois Equal Pay Registration Certificate, UK SRA)Draft expatriate packages for review as part of the firm’s global mobility programWork with the Global Compliance Senior Manager to track and monitor compliance with federal, state and local lawsProject manage and facilitate simple changes in policies, procedures and/or systems in response to changes in federal, state, and local lawsPrepare policy and process documents, including FAQS, QRGs and SOPs, in response to federal, state, and local laws or firm policy changesAudit and monitor the firm’s government clientsResponsible for drafting a bi-annual compliance newsletter and other resources for local HR and leadershipManage the Partner background check processPrepare materials for compliance updates and process change meetingsAudit and monitor the firm’s mandatory postingsResponsible for updating the firm’s policy manualsSupport the firm’s compliance training program by preparing completion reports and other related tasks, in coordination with the Compliance SpecialistSupport the implementation of special HR projects and initiativesStay current with labor and employment trends, applicable HR-related international, federal, state and local legal decisions, regulatory agency guidelines and lawsOther related duties as assignedSkillsBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university1-3+ years of experience in human resources, analytics or complianceProficiency with MS Word and PowerPointAdvanced proficiency with MS ExcelDetail-oriented, strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyStrong organizational skillsStrong attention to detailGood judgmentStrong interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAble to work harmoniously and effectively with othersAble to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretionAble to work under pressureAble to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and prioritiesPrior project management experiencePrior experience with PeopleSoft, HRIS or WorkdayBenefitsBonus eligibilityComprehensive benefits programCompany OverviewSidley is an elite global law firm.
