Coding and Billing Specialist (US)
Position Overview RMBB Health is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Coding & Billing Specialist to join our remote billing team. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely scrubbing of notes, submission of claims, payment posting, and denial resolution. Key Responsibilities · Purpose: Wound care billing & coding specialist that processes insurance claim reimbursements. · Review, scrub, submit, follow-up on claims. · Posts payments in various EMR systems (i.e. Athena, eClinicalWorks, etc.). · Ensure compliance with payer-specific and CMS billing guidelines, protocols and standards. · Communicate clearly with team leads on claim issues or blockers. · Manage work queues daily, stay on top of work volume. · Focus on accuracy and turnaround time. Qualifications · Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience. · Experience with coding & billing in a podiatry practice or business is required. · Experience in wound care is strongly preferred. · Experience with Athena and/or eCW preferred. · Experience with other EHR systems is a plus. · Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, payer-specific rules. · High attention to detail and time management. · Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
