The Opportunity: A Dual-Role Specialist We are seeking a unique consultant who lives at the intersection of Cloud Infrastructure/Development and Security Implementation. In this role, you will: • Design, develop, and migrate client workloads to modern cloud platforms (Azure/AWS). • Architect and deploy the foundational security controls that enable our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service, ensuring clients are "monitoring-ready." You are the critical link between our cloud offerings and our security practice. When we sell a cloud project and a ShieldMax security package, you will be the single technical owner who delivers both in an integrated fashion. Core Responsibilities Cloud Design & Development (Primary Focus - 70%): • Consult with clients to design, architect, and implement cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) primarily in Microsoft Azure or AWS. • Develop infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) for repeatable, secure deployments. • Containerize applications and implement orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). • Migrate and modernize on-premises workloads to the cloud. • Optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and reliability. Security Implementation & Enablement (Critical Focus - 30%): • Implement the "Protect" pillar of our NIST-based framework as a prerequisite for MDR onboarding. • Deploy and configure the core security tools that our SOC will monitor: • Endpoint: Install and policy-configure EDR agents (e.g., CrowdStrike) across all endpoints/servers. • Identity: Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and configure Identity & Access Management settings in Azure AD/Entra ID. • Email & Network: Assist with the rollout of advanced email security and network segmentation rules. • Data: Implement core cloud security posture management (CSPM) and data protection baselines. • Work hand-in-hand with the Cybersecurity Delivery Consultant (MDR Focus) to ensure a seamless handoff from a "secure configuration" to "managed monitoring and response." What You Bring (Qualifications) • 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering/development experience with Azure (preferred) or AWS. • 2+ years of practical security implementation experience, specifically deploying security tools and hardening systems. • Proven technical skills in: • Cloud Platforms: Microsoft Azure (Admin/Architect), AWS (Solutions Architect). • Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Python, Terraform. • Core Security Tools: Experience deploying EDR, configuring MFA/SSO, understanding of firewalls and Zero Trust concepts. • Mindset: A security-first approach to cloud design. You build it securely from the start. • Certifications (A strong plus): Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Security Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect / Security, CompTIA Security+, CISSP Associate.
