Cloud Security Engineer – GCP, IAM, Terraform – 100% Remote (USA)
A large global brand are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer to support a cloud security and infrastructure initiative.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing Identity & Access Management (IAM) controls across Google Cloud Platform environments, while leveraging Terraform to automate and standardise cloud infrastructure deployments.
This will be an initial 1-2 months+ contract with the possibility for further extensions available, on a rolling monthly basis.
This position can be worked 100% remotely from anywhere on the east coast or central time zones in the USA.
Key Skills & Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and manage IAM policies, roles, permissions, and access controls across GCP environments.
• Configure and maintain secure authentication and authorization frameworks within Google Cloud Platform.
• Develop, deploy, and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Support cloud security initiatives, ensuring adherence to best practices and governance requirements.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and access management processes.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, security teams, and infrastructure engineers to deliver scalable and secure solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IAM, GCP, and Terraform-related issues across complex cloud environments.
• Contribute to cloud migration, optimisation, and security enhancement projects.
Key Skills Required:
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Extensive experience managing and administering Identity & Access Management (IAM) within cloud environments.
• Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, governance, and access management best practices.
• Experience troubleshooting complex cloud infrastructure and security issues.
• Ability to work independently within a remote, fast-paced environment.
• Relevant GCP certifications.
