Claims Adjuster – Liability – Auto Physical Damage Overview: We are seeking an experienced Claims Adjuster with a strong background working for an insurance carrier or TPA, specializing in physical damage liability claims. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to manage a diverse claim portfolio efficiently from start to finish. Responsibilities Claims Management • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve third-party physical damage liability claims promptly and accurately. • Manage coverage analysis, liability determination, damages assessment, and settlement negotiations. • Oversee repair estimates, total loss evaluations, and salvage opportunities. • Maintain detailed and compliant claim documentation consistent with carrier standards and regulatory requirements. • Collaborate with defense counsel, vendors, and internal teams to ensure fair and timely claim outcomes. Effective Communication • Maintain proactive communication with insureds, claimants, repair facilities, defense firms, and internal claims staff. • Negotiate settlements effectively while mitigating exposure and supporting company financial objectives. • Deliver clear, professional written and verbal updates throughout the claim lifecycle. Client & Team Support • Provide exceptional support to policyholders throughout the claim process, ensuring transparency and empathy. • Contribute to a cohesive claims operation by collaborating with peers and leadership on best practices. • Represent the company’s professionalism and service commitment in all interactions. Qualifications • Minimum 2+ years of experience handling physical damage claims for an insurance carrier or TPA. • Proven ability to manage both liability physical damage exposure, including total losses and repairs. • Strong technical knowledge of policy interpretation, coverage application, and trucking industry standards. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining accountability and productivity. • Willingness to travel occasionally for training, meetings.
