As a Civil Roadway Engineer, you will work on multi-disciplinary roadway design projects for high-profile state agencies and municipalities, collaborating with civil engineers to deliver integrated solutions.ResponsibilitiesProviding technical expertise on projects from the conceptual and preliminary engineering design phase to final designProviding technical expertise on projects beyond final design to through construction phase servicesCoordinating with architects, bridge, environmental, geotechnical, survey, and traffic professionals, to complete multi-disciplinary project deliverablesAssisting project managers in various aspects of roadway design, utility infrastructure design and coordination, development of construction documents, and construction support servicesPreparing detailed civil design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and bid packagesWorking with Project Managers to ensure that production of specifications, reports and analyses meet scope, schedule, cost and quality requirementsSkillsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering0-3 years' experience in the design and preparation of construction contract documents for roadway design projectsEngineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) license, or the ability and motivation to obtain licenseExperience with developing roadway designs in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT), New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) or Maine Department of Transportation (MaineDOT) design guidelines and standardsAutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation - InRoads/OpenRoads, AutoTURNStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsProficiency in: 3D roadway models, horizontal alignments, profiles, corridors, cross sections, grading, sidewalk/curb ramps, ADA design, construction phasing, quantity takeoffs, and estimates preferredBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife insurance401(k) planPaid holidaysCompany OverviewKleinfelder is an employee-owned engineering, science, and architecture consulting firm.
