Children's Book Illustrator Needed for Heartfelt Family Legacy Project

I’m seeking a children’s book illustrator to bring an original family story to life. Many years ago, my son asked me to write a story for him. I wrote a simple, meaningful tale about a lioness cub who learns never to underestimate her potential or let perceived barriers limit her happiness. We’ve shared this story with family members over the years, using my son’s childhood drawings, and now I’d like to professionally produce it as a legacy for my children and future generations.

Audience:

Approximate ages 4-6

What I’m Looking For:

•A creative illustrator experienced with children’s picture books

• Someone who can capture warmth, emotion, and gentle storytelling

• A collaborative partner who understands the sentimental value of this project

• Ability to deliver print‑ready files for KDP (interior + cover)

Project Scope (Estimated):

• 24–32 pages (final count TBD)

• Full‑page or half‑page illustrations throughout

• A fully illustrated cover (front, back, and spine)

• Page layout and book design included (if you offer it)

Deliverables:

• Print‑ready PDF of the interior

• Print‑ready cover (front, back, spine)

• High‑resolution artwork files ready for print

• All artwork created as work‑for‑hire (rights transferred to me upon final payment)
