About this Role The Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Capital Impact Partners plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s risk management strategy. This executive position is responsible for aligning risk management processes with the company’s corporate objectives, enhancing business resilience, and overseeing the implementation of Momentus Capital’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. The CRO will work closely with both the Board of Directors and executive management to assess, report, and mitigate risks. As a key strategic advisor, the CRO facilitates the organization’s ability to make informed decisions and manage growth responsibly. Key areas of responsibility include overseeing risk policies across credit, market, and operational areas, implementing robust risk monitoring systems, and fostering a culture of risk awareness throughout the organization. The position demands a leader with extensive experience in credit management, capital markets, asset management, and compliance, who can also mentor and develop a high-performance risk team. Responsibilities • Develop and implement the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. • Lead the Finance and Risk Management Committee. • Oversee credit and counterparty risk policies. • Ensure effective underwriting standards and stress testing protocols. • Manage investment and portfolio risk practices. • Identify and mitigate operational risks. • Present risk assessments and updates to executive teams and the board. • Serve as a strategic advisor on risk-return perspectives. • Lead, mentor, and develop the risk leadership team. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field; MBA preferred. • Minimum of 20 years of experience in Credit, Capital Markets, and Enterprise Risk Management. • Proven track record in developing and executing risk strategies. • Strong understanding of credit risk, asset management, and compliance regulations. • Experience managing and developing high-performance teams. • Strong communication skills and leadership experience.
