About the position

As a Casualty Adjuster at Shelter Insurance, you will play a crucial role in investigating, analyzing, evaluating, and settling insurance claims that involve liability issues and bodily injury losses. Your primary responsibilities will include performing thorough investigations into liability, coverage, and bodily injury claims. You will be tasked with determining the validity of claims, verifying coverage, establishing the value of losses, and negotiating settlements within your limits of authority, all while adhering to established procedures and legal and contractual obligations. This position requires you to coordinate the claims handling process among multiple adjusters, ensuring that all aspects of the claims are managed effectively and efficiently. In this role, you will utilize your investigative and analytical skills to assess claims accurately. You will need to have a solid understanding of medical terminology, as this knowledge will be essential in evaluating bodily injury claims. Your superior negotiation and communication skills will be vital in reaching fair settlements with claimants.
