Case Administrator - Bankruptcy Trustee

We are looking for a self-motivated case administrator to review ongoing bankruptcy cases and prepare basic legal documents for a Chapter 13 Trustee’s office. Duties of the Post-Confirmation Case Administrator include: review bankruptcy case dockets, monitor payments by Debtors, and process Proofs of Claim. The ideal candidate should have an excellent work ethic, be able to review and analyze basic legal documents, and interact with attorneys, court personnel, and individuals involved in the bankruptcy process in a professional and empathetic manner. If you have previous experience in bankruptcy, banking, or law, we might like to meet you. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze and interpret confirmed plans. • Process proofs of claims filed with the court accurately and in accordance with the confirmed plan and examine them for any deficiencies. • Review monthly funding delinquency report and prepare and file appropriate pleadings related to any delinquencies. • Calendar hearings on pleadings related to dismissal motions. • Calculate plan payoff statements for debtors/debtors’ counsel. • Initiate refund processes on active cases when orders specify to do so. • Communicate with Debtors, Creditors, and their Counsel via email or phone on case issues. • Interpret and process Orders and their impact on the case • Maintain accurate disbursement records Requirements: • Proficient in MS Office (Word and Excel, in particular) • Notary Public in the State of Ohio • Keen eye for detail Bonus Points: • Familiarity with bankruptcy law, court, or procedures • Worked in a law firm dealing with Debtors or Creditor’s rights. • Bilingual in English and other language Job Type: Full-time Base Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Disability insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Westerville, OH Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
