Cartoon designer and animator to create a 4.5-minute music video
We are looking for a talented cartoon designer and animator to create an animated music video for a pop-rock band. The video will be approximately 4 to 4.5 minutes long and will play a key role in the launch of the band’s first album, so we are aiming for a truly special and memorable result.
The project involves creating cartoon versions of one to three real people and producing a series of animated scenes that follow a storyboard provided by the client.
A key part of the collaboration will be defining a visually striking animation style that matches the energy and personality of the music. The visual direction will be discussed and aligned between the animator and the client at the beginning of the project.
Beyond the visual style, it is essential that the animation works in strong synchronization with the music. The rhythm of the scenes, character movements, and transitions should align closely with the song to create an engaging and dynamic final piece.
To ensure a good fit, the project will likely begin with a short test scene of approximately 10–15 seconds. Based on the result, both parties will have the option to continue with the full project or discontinue the collaboration.
Requirements
Strong experience in cartoon animation
Ability to translate real people into appealing cartoon characters
Experience with music videos or rhythm-based animation is a strong plus
Ability to collaborate creatively on visual style and storytelling
Deliverables & Rights: All final deliverables produced within the project will become the exclusive property of the client, who will hold full and exclusive rights for use, distribution, and commercial exploitation of the work.
