For this role specifically, we are seeking individuals to help support the mission of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to innovate and modernize public health science through Information Technology (IT). In support of the overall mission, the OCIO is in the process of modernizing and transforming the use of IT to help CDC move into the digital age. We are seeking a smart, talented, self-motivated, and experienced Instructional System Designer to join our team. Specifically for this role the Senior Instructional Designer will develop and execute learning programs that generate deep and broad skill-building plus generate modern work habits. The ideal candidate will capture training needs, present recommendations, and deliver learning solutions. They will also design and develop training plans, courses, and content in various mediums (traditional, online, video) to support requirements and leverage instructional design and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate instructional materials.
