CAE Software Applications Developer I
Tarleton State University, a distinguished Doctoral National Comprehensive University, invites applications for the position of Software Applications Developer I in the Department of Center for Agribusiness. This role involves routine software development and support functions for the Center for Agribusiness Excellence, contributing to the development and maintenance of applications and data-driven solutions used in agricultural analytics and reporting.ResponsibilitiesConfers with clients to define application requirements. Identifies programming and output needs. Perform software development (including coding and testing), quality assurance testing and support of user acceptanceVerifies preliminary design and output and recommends technical and procedural design for new or revised applications including flow charts, system specifications, programming guidelines, and code reviewReviews, modifies, and writes program code and job control languageWrites documentation of system procedures and guidelines for application users as well as for programs and program modificationsAssists with testing complex programs, program modifications, or applicationsAnswers questions and provides technical assistance and training to application users.
