Business Immigration Paralegal

To support this momentum, we are excited to add a Paralegal with expertise in business immigration to our team. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity to work alongside industry-leading professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This specific role calls for a Paralegal with sound experience processing both NIV and PERM visas.

The purpose of our Business Immigration Paralegal is to independently analyze information and documents and prepare/compile immigration petitions and applications for attorney review. The Business Immigration Paralegal will also handle client/foreign national communications regarding case processing and status for key accounts/clients.

As our Business Immigration Paralegal, your key responsibilities will include:
β€’ Ensure effective document intake: i.e., review documents for validity and sufficiently analyze immigration status based on documents provided during document.
β€’ Ensure accountability for the heavy drafting of case documents, statutory forms, and templated letters of support, plus a range of NIVs including petitions for key accounts/clients.
β€’ Flag any potential/foreseeable case-related issues with Attorney and/or Senior Case Manager, in a timely manner.
β€’ Swiftly draft responses to requests for evidence.
β€’ Utilize online immigration case tracking system to monitor case status and activities on a daily basis.
β€’ Coordinate with Client Support Specialists the printing, scanning, and posting of cases, and service requests.
β€’ Respond to client communication requests – either via client contact, or directly with the foreign national.
β€’ Prioritize daily workload based on fluctuating client deadlines, whilst maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency.
β€’ Flag any ideas for process improvement to appropriate attorney/Case Manager.
β€’ Assist other team members with case or document preparation, as required.
β€’ Contribute to positive team morale, especially within a remote work environment.

To APPLY for this role and be under consideration, you must possess the following:
β€’ 1-2 full years of experience working as a Business Immigration Paralegal drafting employment-based petitions.
β€’ Completed bachelor’s degree – highly desirable.
β€’ A genuine interest in U.S. immigration, with a desire to treat clients & foreign nationals with respect and an empathetic approach.
β€’ Confidence with independent handling a range of NIV cases preferred: H1B, L, TN, O-1 etc., and experience with drafting green card processes (I-140 and AOS), and end-to-end PERM applications preferred.
β€’ Experience working with a high volume of active and inactive cases at any one time.
β€’ Excellent written + verbal English communication skills, including spelling and grammar.
β€’ Strong attention to detail to ensure consistent accuracy of work.
β€’ Experience communicating directly with (HR staff) and/or foreign nationals regarding case requirements, including work on key accounts/clients.
β€’ Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize caseload.
β€’ Strong computer literacy with the ability to adapt to state-of-the-art Envoy case processing software to monitor and record all visa petitions.
β€’ Ability to follow due process, templates, and to adapt to evolving innovation within the Firm, and industry.
β€’ Minimum Intermediate level proficiency with MS Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word).
β€’ A friendly, courteous, and respectful demeanor with the ability to work as a member of a team.
