**Job Summary**

As a Data Entry Associate at careerzynith, you'll be responsible for:

* Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database
* Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolving issues using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
* Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database
* Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications
* Following data program security practices and procedures at all times
* Routinely securing information by completing database backup daily
* Performing other varied clerical duties, such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required
* Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations

**Responsibilities**

* Review data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information and resolve issues using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
* Enter both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database
* Review data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correct any data entry errors or duplications
* Follow data program security practices and procedures at all times
* Routinely secure information by completing database backup daily
* Perform other varied clerical duties, such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required
* Maintain confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations

**Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Must be able to achieve 8,000 or higher on a 10-key test. Preferably above 10,000
* A minimum of 6 months related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience
* Experience in a medical office preferred
* Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone
* Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
* Must have a full understanding of HIPAA regulations and compliance
* Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 60 W.P.M.

* Full-time remote position with a standard work schedule Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm PST with overtime as offered
