Business Development Representative

They are seeking a high-energy Business Development Representative to build and nurture partnerships with mortgage brokers and lenders, while managing the top of the wholesale funnel and ensuring a seamless partner experience.ResponsibilitiesProspect for and identify new referral partners, including mortgage brokers, real estate agents, financial planners, and credit unions, within assigned territories or verticalsConduct outbound outreach via phone, email, and social media to introduce Splitero's HEI product and value proposition to prospective partnersQualify and onboard new wholesale partners, ensuring they have the tools, training, and resources needed to submit and close dealsEducate partners on Splitero's guidelines, pricing, and processes through product presentations, webinars, and one-on-one callsMaintain consistent follow-up cadences with both prospective and existing partners to drive pipeline activity and deal flowCollaborate with Account Executives to transition warm, high-potential partner relationships and ensure a seamless handoffTrack all partner interactions, pipeline activity, and deal flow accurately in Salesforce CRMParticipate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to build brand presence and generate new partner leadsProvide field feedback to the Marketing and Product teams to help shape messaging, collateral, and product developmentMeet and exceed monthly and quarterly KPIs, including outreach activity, new partners onboarded, and funded deal volume sourcedSkills1–3 years of experience in a sales, business development, or account management role; experience in mortgage, real estate, or fintech is a strong plusAbility to work in our San Diego office Tuesday-ThursdayProven track record of hitting or exceeding outbound sales or pipeline generation targetsStrong phone presence and confidence in conducting discovery conversations with financial professionalsProficient in Salesforce CRM; ability to manage a high-volume pipeline with accuracy and disciplineExcellent verbal and written communication skills; able to simplify complex financial products for diverse audiencesAdaptability: Embraces change with resiliency and a positive, solutions-oriented mindsetTeam-Oriented: Prioritizes collaboration, inclusivity, and teammate supportFamiliarity with Home Equity Investment (HEI), Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOC), reverse mortgages, or alternative lending products is highly desirableExperience with sales engagement tools and outreach cadences (Salesforce Sales Engagement / High Velocity Sales preferred)Comfortable working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where priorities shift, and adaptability is keySelf-starter mentality, you don't wait to be told what to do nextBenefitsOneTeam Culture - We foster a culture of transparency, innovation, and inclusivity, where every voice is heard and every team member is valued.
