Business Development Representative

The Business Development Representative is responsible for building relationships, generating business leads, and setting appointments for the sales team, while achieving quota on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Responsibilities Tasked with a diverse mix of both cold outreach and responding to warm leads via phone, emailing, social media, etc. ‘Warm’ is defined a prospect who has responded to a marketing campaign Cultivates net new prospects and builds pipeline through outbound prospecting efforts (identify targets, prepare for prospecting, prospecting, handoff to sales) Engages with mid sized to large businesses and relevant roles (C-Level) Assists sales counterpart by delivering qualifying leads and cultivating new prospects to enable them to achieve the company’s revenue objectives Achieves daily, weekly, monthly scorecard metrics such as calls scheduled, calls completed, qualified opportunities and deals Conducts market research to be followed up by the Territory Managers in the field Continuously learns our applications/value proposition/differentiation in order to enhance conversations Responsible for entering data into our customer relationship management software Skills Excellent phone voice, manner, written, and verbal communications skills required Ability to field questions from prospects and customers about the company, products, services, implementation Leadership experience and a desire to move into future leadership roles 1 year or more of customer service, call center or inside sales experience 1 year or more of experience in related industry (manufacturing, distribution, retail, lumber, auto) Knowledge of marketing and sales Preferred telephone sales experience, or solution selling experience in the software industry Prior experience cultivating and managing existing leads in a sales pipeline through preliminary sales stages is a plus Involvement in attaining quota goals and a proven track record is preferred Bachelor's degree preferred Bachelors degree in business management, marketing preferred Benefits Health and Wellness: Comprehensive health and wellness benefits designed to support your overall well-being.
